The Permagardens Foundation

The Permagardens Foundation promotes an innovative, climate-resilient gardening method rooted in permaculture principles. By using double-dug garden beds, water-capturing channels, and organic soil enrichment, Permagardens enable families to grow substantial, nutrient-dense food year-round—even during dry seasons. Developed by TerraFirma International and popularised by former Peace Corps volunteers, the method builds resilience through local, low-cost, and sustainable food systems.

When successful, Permagardens ensure greater community resilience, ecological sustainability, and nutritional abundance.
